3D Billboard: Austrian Airlines x ÖFB

To mark Austrian Airlines’ partnership with the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB), we developed a 3D anamorphic animation for Vienna’s new 50 m² screen at Prater – timed to coincide with the Austrian team’s home game against Romania.

The goal: bring their “official carrier” role to life in an unexpected format. The result is a full-minute flight sequence – from hangar to stadium – unfolding across six animated scenes. Footballs roll in, a plane takes off, and the final shot lands right inside the stadium.

Each scene was carefully composed to take advantage of the screen’s perspective. Using a full LiDAR scan of the square, we mapped the animation to a defined sweet spot – ensuring the 3D illusion works as people walk by.
Built in Blender and composited for final delivery, the animation ran in a seamless loop and served as both an in-situ activation and campaign asset, that made people stop and watch.

This was one of our first shot at 3D billboards and anamorphic animations – a format we’re ready to take to new heights.
